AMS 7th Generation
A 100% national technology developed by Xmobots, the largest drone company in Latin America
The AMS (Automatic Management System) is the 7th generation of Xmobots' avionics system, which includes GNSS/INS navigation, Air Data Unit, Autopilot, Flight Control Unit, Air Data Terminal, among other systems. The first version presented is the AMS25G dedicated to the Nauru 500C RPAS.
This version of the hardware and software system is the result of two years of development and 19 years of accumulated technology. It is an evolution in terms of robustness, reliability and maintainability, resulting in high availability for VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) platforms such as the Nauru 500C.

Xmobots drone hardware has been developed since 2004. With the 7th generation, we're going one step further, with more complex flights and greater performance.

100% redesigned, the hardware features a multi-core processor with 6x more processing power than the previous generation. This capacity allows it to run a Hard-RTOS and much more complex artificial intelligence, navigation and control algorithms.
In addition, the AMS25G features a real-time coprocessor. The processor + coprocessor solution has made it possible to improve the temporal precision of processing tasks by more than 10X.
The signals, ground and power supply of the AMS peripherals are all isolated from each other, preventing the failure of one subsystem (e.g. overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, noise, etc.) from causing other subsystems to fail.
Both the AMS system and peripherals such as the ADTU (Air Data Terminal Unit) and GMDU (GNSS and Magnetometer Data Unit) are protected by IP65 cases and connectors, interconnected in a point-to-point star topology, facilitating maintainability. This great advantage makes it possible to change units in a simple and error-resistant way, whether in the field or in complex operational scenarios.


As well as the hardware, the AMS software has also been improved, reaching a high level of evolution in the RPA industry. The new redundant navigation system - which runs two dissimilar technology filters in parallel - has brought reliability and efficiency to the drone's guidance, optimizing 3D trajectories based on energy balance. This advance makes the system more robust and tolerant of atmospheric disturbances.
The new real-time software is the result of a complete refactoring of all generations of software, with improvements in architecture and implementation, with temporal determinism of all the system's units.
With the AMS25G, Xmobots brings a new level of robustness, reliability and maintainability to the VTOL drone market.
