Unauthorized flight results in pilot's arrest

Nothing comes of it. There's no supervision... Beware of bad faith guidelines, as the consequences can be serious.

Inspections of drone operations have been increasing. This week, the Air Group of the Bahia Military Police patrolled in the vicinity of the Fonte Nova Arena in Salvador (BA). They spotted an RPA making an irregular flight, as it was reaching a height higher than that used by the helicopter.

The pilot did not have authorization to fly, nor did he present the mandatory documents required by ANAC, ANATEL and DECEA regulations. The pilot was arrested in the act.

That's why it's important to operate your UAV within the law. Here at XMobots, we have the Arator 5B. It is the only Brazilian drone authorized by ANAC to fly above 400ft, and its radius is not limited to 500m like other drones. As a result, it can map up to 800 hectares in a single flight, while other equipment can only map 50 hectares in compliance with the law - considering a GSD of 10cm.

Flying outside the law can have serious consequences. Don't commit a crime. Always operate safely.
