ANAC delegation visits XMobots factory

Between October 18 and 22, 2021, XMobots hosted a delegation from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) at its facilities in the city of São Carlos. The delegation included 12 members from the agency's different superintendencies and coordination offices, including members from the Operational Standards Superintendency (SPO), Aviation Personnel Superintendency (SPL), Drones and New Technologies Coordination (CDNT) and a team from ANAC's Flight Test Engineering.

Among the main objectives on the agenda were activities related to Xpilot's (XMobots' pilot school) remote pilot education and training program, demonstrations related to contributing to the agency's grant-making on the use of drones in spraying environments and aero-agricultural operations and, above all, activities to familiarize the public with the FW150 project, the first class 2 remotely piloted aircraft system, i.e. with a maximum take-off weight of between 25 and 150 kg, to be authorized to carry out tests and experimental trials in the civil sphere.

As well as getting to know the company's new facilities, the members were also able to familiarize themselves with the company's new developments and the entire infrastructure present in XMobots' research and development department.

"Receiving a delegation of this size represents and reaffirms, first and foremost, a relationship of trust between the company and the agency, because to remain at the forefront of remotely piloted aircraft technology and development in Brazil and Latin America is also to be a reference for civil aviation authorities such as ANAC.
Facts like this demonstrate the high level of product quality and the high standard of operational safety that the company seeks for this market.
XMobots' certification department works incessantly to disseminate the aeronautical culture in this environment, complying with current regulations and being able to welcome big names in the field to our facilities is gratifying," says XMobots' Certification Manager, Décio Gomes Palhas Jr.

"The visit was an excellent opportunity for ANAC to gain a practical and multidisciplinary insight into the various products and services provided by XMobots, thus allowing the Agency to continue creating technically sound conditions and bases for the drone sector in Brazil to develop and grow more and more, bringing benefits to the whole of Brazilian society," adds ANAC's Civil Aviation Regulation Specialist, Ailton José Junior.
