An incomparable drone. Nauru´s first version was released in 2012 and since then, Nauru presented a trajectory of astonishing milestones and overcomings. Nauru has been the top one in many things, such as the first RPA to fly over Amazon area, the first Brazilian-technology-drone to get a CAVE (Certificado de Autorização de Voo Experimental – Certificate of Authorization for Experimental Flights) from ANAC and the first hybrid VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) developed in Brazil. Reflection of XMobots DNA strength, Nauru represents the point where XMobots past meets its present, disrupting innovation boundaries.

Developed for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations above 400ft, Nauru presents an extraordinary 4-hour endurace of flight. Its high capacity of payload allows the embedding of a complete ISR system (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissanse), becoming a powerful tool in Security and Defense missions.

Landing and Take Off in hostile environments

To fly over hostile places, such as woods, rivers and high-risk urban areas, ISR operations are fundamental. Therefore, XMobots developed for Nauru a hybrid system in which landing and take-off are vertical (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) and its flight is possible thanks to the combustion engine.

That´s why Nauru combines the best in drone technology: VTOL security and versatility as well as the great autonomy of a fixed-wing RPA.

Detect, track and identify in real time

Nauru 500C ISR presents all XMobots drones differentials, such as XPlanner and XCockpit softwares, factory-embedded RTK L1 L2, XMB Autopilot, and many others. However, one of Nauru´s greatest differentials is its specific configuration to ISR applications, making Nauru a high-efficiency RPA in very strategic operations.

System for confidential flight

For intelligence missions, the confidentiality of the flight is fundamental to the mission´s success. In order to comply with this demand, XMobots developed a low-visual-detectability paint and a low-audibility propulsion system.

Thus the RPA is painted in two color-schemes to minimize its visualization by viewers in ground. The combination of colors assures the low-detectability of the RPA in flights at 2500ft AGL. Optionally, the client might require specific graphics.

The intelligence behind the sensors

Nauru 500C ISR presents a real-time data capture and interpretation, considered the state-of-the-art in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissanse.

This system is composed by 2 main sensors:

XSIS EO STABILIZED CAMERA

The stabilized XSIS-EO camera presents an electro-optical (visible) sensor coupled on a gyro-stabilized gimbal by inertial system, allowing daylight ISTAR missions.

XSIS-EOLWIR STABILIZED CAMERA

The XSIS-EOLWIR stabilized camera presents an electro-optical (visible) and a thermal infrared (LWIR) sensor, coupled on a gyro-stabilized gimbal by inertial system allowing daylight and night ISTAR missions.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM FOR ISR

The XSIS-EOLWIR cameras can be connected to an external image processor to process the following feature in real time:

– People;

– Cars;

– Boats;

Security and confort for the operators

For operations longer than 3 hours, Nauru counts on a multifunction GCS (Ground Control Station) upgrade, developed to substitute the traditional laptop in missions where ergonomy of controls and viewing instrumentation are essential to reduce the work load of the pilots, assuring the mission´s success.

GCS brings 3 multifunctional 21.5” touchscreens enabling the checking of:

- RPAS (XCockpit) instrumentation primary data;

- Mobile maps

(aircraft coordinates; target coordinates, FOV center coordinates; slant range of the filmed target; angular position of the EOIR sensor notation; zoom level, air traffic, weather);

- General interface of command.

GCS also presents a keyboard and a robust trackball, joystick and throttle that allows the dispatch of the area changes and the targets sensored parameters by the redirection of the RPA or sensors – upon the change of its course, altitude, azimuth, elevation and zoom characteristics.

Mobile base for strategic missions

As a system upgrade, Nauru 500C ISR can count on a 2.5 tons operation shelter, projected to be towed in vehicles like trucks.

Completely self-contained, this structure is capable to store 3 RPAs, 2 GDTs and 3 GCS, besides sheltering the operation team during the missions.

It also presents digital print access, emergency lighting, air conditioning and ergonomic seats, projected to assure ergonomic and thermal confort to the operators, in order not to increase stress level during operations.

When configured with 3 GCS, the operation is executed in the following way:

GCS 1: Remote operation of RPA 1

GCS 2: Sensors operation and option of redundances

GCS 3: Remote operation of RPA 2

Fly Beyond

Factory-integrated with a communication system that allows BVLOS operations up to 30km, Nauru also presents an upgrade that allows an up-to-60km range in ideal conditions.

A drone developed for high-degree complexity missions, result of years of high investments in R&D and 100% manufactured in Brazil.
