As a result of XMobots technological evolution, Arator was projected to be a breakthrough in aerial mapping with drones. Combining lightness and structural robustness, high portability and productivity, Arator became a powerful mapping tool, bringing high efficiency to daily work on the field.

First Brazilian drone with approved project by ANAC for flights above 400ft, Arator presents a refined productive process, combining all XMobots great innovations. Among the embedded technologies in the drone there is the HAL or HAG RTK system, 24-Mpix APS-C RGB sensor and the multispectral sensors XMC and XM5, which make Arator a dynamic and ready platform to comply with the most different applications. Arator is the only Brazilian drone with approval of project by ANAC for flights above 400ft AGL. To fly above this altitude is a synonym of high productivity and represents a great competitive differential as the market demands more flights in consonance with the RBAC-E-94 standards.

Since 2019, all brand-new Arators leave XMobots factory with the GNSS RTK system embedded. Named as HAL (High Accuracy Low cost), the system operates in double frequency (L1 and L2) and quad-constellation, assuring positional accuracy in few centimeters, completely eliminating the need for the GCP points collection. HAL system is compatible with many GNSS bases. However, users can also opt to the acquisition of XRTK 184B, the GNSS L1 and L2, developed by XMobots.

Support for Trimble Ag, RTX and Omnistar

The applications in which one centimeter makes the difference, Arator may be upgraded with the HAG (High Accuracy AG) RTK technology embedded. This system uses a triple frequency (L1, L2 and L5) GNSS Trimble and presents as one of its great differentials the direct connection to the GNSS Trimble AG bases. HAG system is also compatible with several GNSS bases and clients may purchase the XRTK 336B base, developed by XMobots with Trimble technology.

Arator may be upgraded with multispectral sensors, developed by XMobots R&D team, such as the XMC (RG and NIR) as well as XM5 (RGB, NIR and RedEdge). 

INNOVATION AND ACCURACY WITH XMC

XMC is a multispectral camera developed specifically for the SUGARCANE SOLUTION. Presenting 4 bands (R, G, B* and NIR), XMC shows a high yield (hectares/ flight) thanks to the APS-C sensor, which captures 12-Mpix images, and also to the integration to the HAL and HAG systems, assuring multispectral mapping with centimetric positional accuracy. *The blue band is synthetically generated in the preprocessing.

XM5 is a 5-band-multispectral solution developed by XMobotsThis camera captures RGB, NIR and RedEdge images simultaneouslygenerating a great variety of vegetation indicessuch as NDVI and NDRE. Its APS-C sensor generates images with 4.7cm/ pixel GSD at 400ft AGL.

“Robust as a tractor”

Throughout the years, its users started naming Arator as “tractor of the skies”. This structural robustness was a fundamental requirement in its aeronautic project, since it was idealized to be able to perform an average of 5 flights/day, resisting to the daily adversities on the field. That´s why materials such as aramid and carbon fiber remain in its composition.
