Incra is holding a workshop on Cadastre and Georeferencing in Land Administration in Brasilia (DF) on February 20 and 21. The event, supported by the Inter-American Cadastre and Property Registration Network, the Permanent Committee on Cadastre in Ibero-America (CPCI) and the Organization of American States (OAS), aims to improve technical and regulatory knowledge on the subject among Incra employees and representatives of entities and bodies from other countries that work in the area. Georeferencing rural properties with drones is one of the main themes of the event.
Since 2017, Incra has been georeferencing rural properties in Brazil with the help of technology developed by xmobots®. The Institute already operates two Echar 20C HA and a Nauru 500B HA. The HA system developed by xmobots® enables the generation of 3D models and orthophotos with an accuracy of up to 2cm, without the need to collect control points.
The meeting will be attended by staff from the Cadastre and Cartography sector at the institute's headquarters in Brasilia, from the 30 regional superintendencies throughout Brazil and by invited guests, including xmobots®, a national reference in the drone market. Also taking part are representatives of bodies linked to land registry and registration that are part of the Inter-American Network, the CPCI, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for Latin America and the Caribbean, and the World Bank.
The workshop program includes lectures on digital certification and the modernization of the Land Management System (Sigef), an instrument created in 2013 to bring transparency, agility and security to the certification of rural properties.
New regulations on the georeferencing, registration and cadastre of rural properties, as well as related issues, such as the special panel on the subject of land registration on the border strip, will also be presented to the participants. The land regularization of public areas and the control of land acquisition by foreigners will also be discussed.
Another lecture will be "Land Regularization Practice from the Private Initiative's Perspective", with speakers from Fibria, a forest products company, the Brazilian Association of Notaries and Registrars (Anoreg/BR) and the Brazilian Real Estate Registry Institute (Irib). The aim is to give civil servants and participants an overview of how the private sector and other agents view land regularization.
During the event, INCRA will explain its role in the regulatory procedures for Brazilian land to public bodies from the countries present.
