The 7th generation avionics system brought to the fair brings significant improvements to the remotely piloted aircraft market.
XMobots, the largest drone company in Latin America and the sixth largest in the world in the segment, ended its participation in DroneShow 2024, held from May 21 to 23 in São Paulo, with the presentation of the new generation of its avionics system: AMS.

This was XMobots' ninth time at the event, which covers the entire industry ecosystem. The company's stand was busy during the three days of the fair, with important visitors. Among them were MBDA partners (Míssil de Interceptação Combate e Autodefesa, in Portuguese), various military authorities and members of public and private bodies.
"For us to be involved in this fair is very important. We are a national company that develops all its technology. So the event helps position us in this segment with global players," said XMobots Founder and CEO Giovani Amianti.
AMS25G: robustness, reliability and maintainability
The technology developed 100% in-house by XMobots is the seventh generation of hardware designed. This version has been named AMS25G and brings a series of improvements and enhancements, being dedicated to the Nauru 500C RPAS.

The launch allows flights over longer distances and in harsher environments, with tolerance to rain and salinity; higher latitude operations (with lower temperatures), in controlled airspace classes and greater autonomy, and day and night flights, offering an anti-collision navigation system. In addition, the AMS(Automatic Management System) includes GNSS/INS, Air data Unit and Terminal, Autopilot and Flight Control Unit, guaranteeing a real evolution in terms of robustness, reliability and maintainability.
The hardware also improved the temporal precision of processing tasks by more than ten times. During development, the engineering team took care to prevent faults such as shorts, overcurrents, overvoltages and noise.
As a result, both the central AMS module and the peripherals are protected by cases and IP65 connectors interconnected in a point-to-point star topology, making maintenance easy, with the exchange of units being simple and robust to errors, and can be carried out directly in the field.
"This launch brings together years of experience in developing hardware and software for drones. This technology will be taken to more customers, thus increasing its applicability," said Giovani.
DroneShow 2024: brand reinforcement, networking and expectations exceeded
A trade fair for the drone, geotechnology, space and eVTOL segment, DroneShow is an opportunity for companies to consolidate their brands, get closer to important players in the market, such as public security agencies (Army, Navy and Air Force) and private security agencies, and take advantage of the chance to explore the commercial side of the business.
"We make a lot of contacts here, which are important and could bring business in the future. When we talk about DroneShow, we're talking about a great showcase. We have visibility for all the areas that make up our market and we meet a qualified audience. From this interaction, we are able to capture the perceptions and pains of the market," said XMobots' Commercial Director, Thatiana Miloso.
The largest drone company in Latin America exceeded expectations at the event. "This year, in addition to all the relationship and business content, we made good sales. You could say that participation presented a chance for expansion," assured XMobots' Sales Manager, Rafael Fernandes.
For XMobots' Technical Sales Consultant, Luiz Henrique Cardoso, the negotiations at the trade fair show the extent of the results obtained during the three-day event: "An environment geared much more towards strengthening commercial relations, each year the event presents itself as a key moment for guaranteeing profitability".
Drones in Agribusiness and Forestry Course
During DroneShow 2024, more than 100 visitors had the opportunity to take part in the Drones in Agribusiness and Forestry course given by XMobots founder Giovani Amianti. This was the eighth edition in which the company's CEO was responsible for the study.

Designed to improve the use of remotely piloted aircraft, the course, held last Wednesday (22/06), dealt with topics such as productivity gains, cost reduction and data capture for analysis and decision-making. "This year, the great interest [of those taking part in the course] is in agricultural spraying, which is the fastest growing market in the drone segment," said Amianti at the end of the event.

The partnership between XMobots and DroneShow is set to continue. "As far as we're concerned, this collaboration will continue. This cooperation brings benefits to both parties. Our participation is also an anchor and showcase for the event," says the Commercial Director.
DroneShow 2025 has already been scheduled. The new edition will be held from June 3 to 5, at Expo Center Norte (Blue Pavilion), in São Paulo (SP).
