Armed and high-tech aircrafts, including Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), were some of the means that the Army Aviation presented to civil and military authorities who visited Fort Ricardo Kirk on July 5th.
The Ministry of Defense delegation, in the company of the Army General Sérgio da Costa Negraes (Secretary of Economy and Treasure), Army General Guido Amin Naves (Military Commander of the Southeast) and other civil and military authorities, had the chance to know the improved and updated versions of Pantera K2 and Fennec AvEx. With all the embedded technology, these aircrafts are used in combat missions, combat support and logistic support for the entire Ground Force. The visitors were also presented to the RPAS, categories 0, 1 and 2, important assets that come to stablish Army Aviation (AvEx) at the forefront of the modern combat.

"These assets from the Army Aviation available for the Army and the Brazilian society are indispensable in the defense of the country. The Ministry is certain of the importance of these assets and we are making everything possible in order to gain resources for the improvement of our other aircrafts and in the acquisition of new ones," said José Roberto de Moraes Rego Paiva Fernandes Junior, Secretary of Treasure and Institutional Organization of the Ministry of Defence.
Nauru, an Army Aviation RPAS category 2 and presented to the delegation is the new RPAS to perform in highly strategic operations in surveillance, security and borders monitoring, and in missions supporting the ground force in the national territory.
"The access of the RPAS to our Forces comes to increase even further our capabilities. As we use these remotely piloted aircrafts, even in combat operations, they add efforts for other means already in use by the Army Aviation and aerial mobile troops, leveling up higher standards of effectiviness in our missions," explained General Amin, Military Commander of the Southeast.

The delegation from the Ministry of Defense, accompanied by Army General Sérgio da Costa Negraes, Secretary of Economy and Finance, the Military Commander of the Southeast, Army General Guido Amin Naves and other civilian and military authorities, visited the modernized Pantera K2 and Fennec AvEx. With all the technology on board, these aircraft are used in combat missions, combat support and logistical support for the entire Ground Force. The visitors also learned about the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (SARP) categories 0, 1 and 2, vectors that help keep Army Aviation (AvEx) at the forefront of modern combat.
"The vectors that are placed here in Army Aviation at the disposal of the Army and Brazilian society are fundamental to the country's defense. The Ministry is certain of the importance of these vectors and we are doing everything we can to obtain resources to modernize the remaining aircraft and purchase new ones," said the Secretary of Budget and Institutional Organization of the Ministry of Defense, José Roberto de Moraes Rego Paiva Fernandes Junior.
The Nauru, the Army Aviation's Category 2 SARP presented to the delegation, is the new Remotely Piloted Aircraft System and will act in highly strategic surveillance, security and border monitoring operations, in missions supporting the ground force throughout the national territory.
"The addition of the SARPs to our force further increases our capacity. As soon as we use these pilotless aircraft to carry out attacks, they are added to the existing resources of Army aviation and aeromobile troops, further increasing the effectiveness of mission accomplishment," explained the Military Commander of the Southeast, General Amin.
